
Digital Dynamic Sketching
In this class we will breakdown drawing and painting both organic and hard surface subjects. Students will develop a firm understanding of the construction process, controlling details, and rendering sketches in a convincing manner. This class will build the ability for one to quickly draw and render subjects such as plants, animals, vehicles and props.
Curriculum
Week 01
Simple forms
Learning to construct and understand how light falls on simple forms. These will be the foundational building blocks to strong draftsmanship in rendering.
Week 02
Plants and Landscape
Applying construction and rendering onto plants and other natural subjects found in landscapes.
Week 03
Animals Part 1
Animals of all sorts is a great subject to learn depicting a myriad of textures such as scales and fur.
Week 04
Animals Part 2
Continuing from the previous week, we’ll be tackling more complex animal subjects.
Week 05
Props and Vehicles
An introduction to hard surface and other man-made subjects. Constructing from simple forms to create symmetrical subjects with metallic and other various reflective materials.
Week 06
Design Project
Putting it all together! For the final week, we’ll be composing a themed page and mixing in various subjects we’ve covered in the course to create your scene.

Materials List
Access to any digital drawing and painting program such as Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Krita, etc.
Class will be held over Google Meets for the live sessions.
Lectures, recordings and class content will be delivered through Google Drive.
